Learn astronomy with hands on activites

About Workshops

our astronomy workshops, are cater to all age groups, fostering a love for the cosmos. Whether participants are crafting telescopes, creating comets, or launching rockets, our engaging sessions are designed to deepen their understanding of the universe. Join us on this celestial journey.

Activities

AstroNight

Under the cloak of night, AstroNight emerges as a cornerstone of our workshop. Here, the participants are equipped with telescopes, those venerable instruments of stargazers, to pierce the veil of darkness and bring the distant cosmos within reach. As celestial bodies dance across the sky, our attendees are guided through a constellation of discoveries, each one a luminous beacon in the vast ocean of space.

Comet Cooking

Comet Cooking is where alchemy meets astronomy. Participants don the hat of interstellar chefs, concocting cometary concoctions using an array of laboratory materials and the effervescent dry ice. These miniature celestial simulacra offer a tangible glimpse into the composition of these enigmatic wanderers of our solar system.

Solar System Parade

Imagine the grandeur of the solar system unfurled before you in “Solar System Parade,” a majestic procession of planetary replicas. This activity scales the unfathomable distances of space down to a comprehensible level, allowing participants to meander through a model that mirrors the celestial bodies’ true proportions and positions.

Lunar Crafting

With “Lunar Crafting,” we turn our gaze to our silvery satellite, the Moon. Participants recreate the pockmarked visage of the lunar surface, simulating the violent ballet of asteroids that gave rise to its craters. They also mimic the Moon’s cyclical dance of shadows and light, crafting models that elucidate its phases.

Rocket Launch

Rocket Launching: Way to Space: propels participants into the fundamentals of aerospace engineering. Armed with plastic bottles and the power of hydro pressure, they construct and launch their own rockets, each one a testament to mankind’s enduring dream of reaching the stars.

DIY Telescope Making

In The Art and Science of Telescope Making, we bestow upon our participants the tools and knowledge to construct their very own telescopes. This activity is a confluence of craftsmanship and science, as they learn the optical principles that allow us to magnify our view of the universe and use their hand-assembled instruments to embark on a personal voyage across the cosmos.
